Car accidents between two full-sized vehicles can often leave those involved with moderate injuries; but if a motorcycle is involved, it can seriously injure or even kill the motorcyclist. The lack of protection that motorcyclists have can leave them vulnerable if they are involved in an accident. Unfortunately, this means that if a motorist drives in a negligent manner and collides with a motorcyclist, it can end the rider’s life. One accident in Nebraska recently caused the possible wrongful death of one man.
The accident took place on the night of May 25 just after 9:30 p.m. and involved one motorcycle and a full-sized automobile. The accident occurred after the automobile turned in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle was unable to stop in time and the two vehicles collided.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene of the accident and pronounced the victim, a 26-year-old man, deceased. The driver of the vehicle, and 83-year-old man, was not injured in the accident. The collision is still under investigation by Nebraska police at this time.
Once the investigation of the accident is finished, the family of the victim may have the right to seek compensation for the wrongful death of their loved one. Compensation could be used by the family to pay for any of the victim’s final expenses. This could allow the family to focus on coming to terms with their tragic loss and slowly returning to their normal routines instead of worrying about the unexpected new bills that resulted from the accident.
