Nebraska car accident leaves 2 people injured

Drivers run red lights for many different reasons; it could be that the light changed too quickly or that they were not paying attention. Regardless, this action can throw caution to the wind and endanger the lives of other drivers on the road. Serious accidents can occur simply because someone did not wait until it was his or her turn to go. Unfortunately, a similar car accident in Nebraska recently left both drivers injured.

The accident occurred on the morning of Nov. 8. The driver of an SUV ran a red light and then collided with the driver of a pickup truck. The two drivers who were involved were taken to a nearby hospital for head injuries. The driver of the SUV was a 53-year-old woman, and the driver of the truck was a 59-year-old man.

The driver of the SUV was ticketed for her actions that caused the collision. The current condition of each of the drivers is unknown at this time. Police stated that they did not think the accident was caused by alcohol or speed.

Once the two victims are out of the hospital, the Nebraska driver who was not at fault in the car accident may have the right to seek monetary restitution for his injuries. Reimbursement could be awarded to help pay for medical bills that accumulated while the victim was in the hospital. It could also help compensate for any lost wages. A successfully litigated claim could help the man heal properly and not have to return to work before he is fully healed.
