When it comes to the care and recovery of patients at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, family involvement is critical. In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, being able to offer expanded virtual services has become a crucial element to keeping patients and families connected during these challenging times of social distancing.
Because of this pronounced need, Friedman Law Offices knew that action was necessary. Our firm has seen, first hand, the incredible role that family can play in the recovery of patients. Last month the firm was able to donate a supply of Samsung tablets and protective cases to Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital here in Lincoln, Nebraska, allowing patients and families to connect during this time of restricted visitation.
Watch the 10/11 News story below to see how the addition of these expanded virtual services has been helping Samantha Parmer in her recovery. Samantha, who is from New Virginia, Iowa, sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in a single vehicle rollover in April, and has been completing her impatient recovery and rehabilitation at Madonna. Donations like ours have made it possible for Samantha’s family to participate in her therapy sessions via Zoom so that they can continue to champion her and play an active role as she progresses through her recovery.
