Car accidents that result in injuries can be difficult enough on the victims and their families, but when a victim is killed it can cause severe emotional trauma for a family. This emotional trauma can often impact family members for an extended period of time and change their lives forever. Unfortunately, one Nebraska family now knows the pain of such a loss after a car accident took the life of a loved one.
The accident took place in the late evening in late November and involved two motor vehicles. According to the initial investigation of the accident, the first vehicle was attempting to make a left-hand turn when it allegedly struck the second vehicle. The impact caused the second vehicle to roll and its driver was ejected.
Emergency personnel responded to the location of the accident, but, sadly, the driver of the second vehicle, a 35-year-old Nebraska man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The condition of the driver of the first vehicle is unknown. The accident is currently under investigation by local law enforcement.
Once the investigation of the car accident has been completed, the family of the deceased victim may have the right to seek compensation for the tragic loss of life. The death of a loved one can present unexpected financial difficulties for a family. Compensation that results from a successful wrongful death claim can cover expenses that arise from the death of a loved one and provide financial stability to a family that was dependent upon the deceased.
